Care After Each Use

Always clean your knife soon after use, as food or moisture causes rust or stains. Wash gently with a soft sponge and mild dish soap. Always wash your knife by hand , avoiding dishwashers or dryers, as heat and pressure can damage the handle.

Dry Thoroughly

After washing, completely dry the blade and handle base with a clean towel. Leftover moisture causes rust or handle corrosion. For best results, allow the knife to air-dry in a well-ventilated area before storing.

Proper Storage

Store your knife only after it's fully dry. Avoid humid environments, which cause rust. For long-term storage, lightly coat the blade with food-safe oil (like camellia oil), wrap it in dry cloth, and keep it in a cool, dry place.

Sharpening & Honing

To view your Taski knife as a life partner, proper care ensures it maintains its maximum performance and longevity, staying sharp and beautiful for decades.

Your knife is dull?

There are two stages of dullness:
1st Stage: The edge can be realigned by honing.
2nd Stage: Once honing no longer restores sharpness, the knife has entered this stage and needs sharpening.

Honing

Tools: Taski Rolling Sharpener (Honing Disc) or a honing rod.
Frequency: About once a week — or more often if needed. It’s perfectly fine to hone daily.

Sharpening

Tools: Taski Rolling Sharpener (Sharpening Disc), whetstone, or a simple manual sharpener
Frequency: Every 1–3 months, depending on use.
As a rule of thumb, sharpen your knife only when honing no longer helps.
