DO NOT use a dishwasher. It may cause rust, damage, or deterioration of the knife.

How should I care for my Taski knives?

Please follow the steps below to care for your knife.

  1. Gentle Hand-Wash Only
    Preserve Taski's beauty by avoiding dishwashers. Hand-wash it with care, to ensure its longevity.
  2. Swiftly DryWash and dry promptly after each use.
    Enclosed in the box is a Taski Knife Cloth, which you can use to maintain the beauty of your knife. Please make use of it.
  3. Mindful Cutting
    While Taski knives are renowned for their ease of sharpening and flexible blades, it's crucial to exercise caution when it comes to cutting hard objects, such as meat bones, to preserve their pristine edge. To ensure longevity and performance, always use a cutting board and refrain from using them on unforgiving surfaces like metal or stone, as these can lead to blade chipping and a loss of sharpness.
Do you offer knife sharpening services?

We offer a sharpening service by a professional craftman in Japan. However, we recommend you to sharpen it by yourself by using a Taski Rolling Sharpener.

How do I use correctly?

Prohibited Actions

  • Do not use in a dangerous manner.
  • Do not let small children use it alone.
  • Do not force it to cut in a way that strains the blade.

  • Do not expose the knife to fire or high heat.

  • Do not put it in an oven or microwave.

If you notice any cracks, damage, or deformation, stop using it immediately and contact the Taski Aftersales Support Team.If damage occurs due to non-compliance with handling instructions, our company bears no responsibility whatsoever.

Caution

  • Please wash well with dishwashing detergent before use.
  • Be careful in handling and storing to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • When cutting frozen food, thaw it thoroughly before cutting.
    ※ Cutting frozen items can cause chipping, bending, or breaking of the blade.
  • Do not use for cutting frozen foods, bones, or hard items.After use, wash off any dirt and thoroughly dry before storing.
    ※ Leaving dirt or moisture can cause rust.
  • When cleaning, use a neutral detergent and a soft sponge.
    ※ Using a cleanser or a hard sponge can scratch the blade.
  • Avoid washing in a dishwasher.

To maintain sharpness, it is recommended to sharpen the blade once or twice a month.

How often should I sharpen my knife

The condition of your knives varies depending on how often you use it and how you use it. If you use it daily, we recommend sharpening according to the schedule below.

Once a week: Stroke the blade with the stainless steel disc of the sharpener to retain its sharpness.

Once a month: Sharpen with both ceramic and stainless steel sharpeners to improve sharpness.

If you feel like you can't cut the food well, try maintenance on the stainless steel side of the sharpener first.If it still doesn't work, please sharpen it.

How should I store my knives

Hand-wash the knife with care, wipe it , and leave it dry.
For storing, please keep the knife upright.

Where are Taski products made?

All knives sold at Taski are made by a professional Japanese craftsmen in Seki City, Gifu Prefecture, a world-renowned center for cutlery.
The sharpeners are made in China.

How much is shipping?

We offer free shipping from Japan for all orders.

How about customs and import taxes?

You may be responsible for any customs duties or import taxes charged upon receiving our product. Unfortunately, we cannot estimate or determine the exact cost of these fees beforehand.

What is the average delivery time for orders?

It usually takes 2-3 business days for your order to be shipped to your country. And you will receive your order within one week after it leaves Japan.

Can I use a PO box as my shipping address?

Since we use DHL for product shipping, PO box address is not valid.

What do I do if the item I received is damaged or defective?

What if I cannot receive my order?

We cannot refund the order if the package is returned due to long-term absence or refusal to accept the package. Please note that we cannot resend the returned package.
