Taski knives
Seki City in Gifu Prefecture, renowned for its samurai sword-making roots, produces the Taski knife, a true masterpiece. Taski Bizen Ware
Bizen ware, originating from Okayama, Japan, is one of the country’s Six Ancient Kilns with a history spanning over 800 years. Crafted from rice field clays and sometimes blended with mountain clays for a rough texture, this unglazed pottery boasts intricate patterns formed by the interplay of flames and ash during a week-long firing process at 1200℃. Despite its lack of glaze, Bizen ware is sturdy, impermeable, and meticulously sanded for a refined finish.
